Rules and guidelines

Rules for the pitcher

  • Keep it positive! This is NOT a roast. We're here to celebrate friends in a lighthearted, uplifting way and help them spark new connections.
  • Keep it clean. No nudity or inappropriate imagery in your slides. Save the spice for after the event 😉.
  • Short & sweet. Pitches should be max 5 minutes. Just enough to show off your friend's magic without going overtime.
  • Slide it in style. Use PowerPoint, Keynote, or similar. Feel free to bring your own creative template, or use one of ours. You can also get extra creative and add some art as a complement to the slides (think a little song, a poem, a painting... surprise us!) .
  • Pronouns & more. Please state your friend's preferred pronouns, sexual orientation, and what they are looking for clearly during the pitch.
  • Don't forget the final touch. Your last slide must include a photo + contact info (Insta, phone, or at least the full name). This will stay up between pitches and will run again during mingling so people know how to connect.
  • Let us know if plans change. Life happens! If you can't make it, tell us ASAP so another awesome people get their moment.

Rules for the pitchee

  • Show up & shine. You don't need to be on stage, but you need to be at the event! you can just sit in the audience and enjoy your 5 minutes of fame.
  • Share your way. Decide what contact info feels safe for you to share (IG, phone, or just your name). Tell your pitcher what to display.
  • Q&A, your style. After the pitch, you can answer questions on stage or save them for one-on-one chats during mingling. Totally your choice.
  • Speak up. If anyone treats you with disrespect during or after the event, let us know right away: we've got your back. 💛

Rules for the audience

  • Be kind & inclusive. Treat everyone with respect, celebrate diversity, and keep an open heart.
  • Respect boundaries. Consent is everything. No means no-always.
  • Good manners. Keep the vibe positive: no offensive jokes, no rude behavior.
  • Protect privacy. Don't share other people's info, photos, or convos without permission.
  • Sip smartly. Enjoy a drink if you like, but know your limits. Look out for each other.
  • Handle hiccups with care. If conflicts or concerns come up, talk to our staff-we're here to help.
  • Join in with love. Engage, connect, but don't monopolize or pressure anyone.
  • Play by the rules. Breaking these guidelines may mean leaving the event (and missing future ones). By joining, you're helping us create a safe, welcoming, and joyful space for everyone. 🥳
